Here we see the first house that began my construction career.  I and my friend Richard designed out and drew up the blueprints and began 6 homes at once in the same subdivision. We had the crews moving from one house onto the next one in line, working on each for a week or two. After our bulldozer man, Jerry Short finished cutting and grading the forested land, the concrete forming teams poured the basements.  We then joined in building with many of the subcontractors; the framing crew, roofers, electricians, HVAC crew, plumbers, sheetrock, trim crew, painters, exterior applications, etc.. Overall, it was a great way to enter the residential construction business. Our first home became the model home for the subdivision and sold for $89,000 (1985 price). It was also featured in BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS.

(I included in the photos a couple of Google “drive by” shots).
